Graduate membership

Student members who graduate may apply for the special graduate rate of $140 (inc GST) per year for full professional membership for the first two (2) years.

Graduate Membership


The AMI offers its graduating student members and other new members who have just completed full-time study a special graduate member rate of $150 (inc GST) per year for full professional membership ($150 yearly rate applicable for the first two (2) years upon graduation). This represents a discount of more than 50%!

On application, new graduate members are graded in one of the following categories according to their qualifications and experience.

Affiliate Member

Those working or interested in marketing, but without a formal marketing related tertiary qualification. Affiliate members may upgrade to Associate Member status upon completion of tertiary qualifications or attainment of significant practical experience in marketing.

Associate Member (AMAMI)

Holders of recognised tertiary (or degree) qualifications in marketing who have started an active career in marketing.
Those with significant practical marketing experience.
Associate Members have voting rights in AMI elections, are eligible for appointment to the National Board and to a state council if also a Certified Practising Marketer, and may display the postnominals AMAMI.
