How AI video is quietly changing the way we market

AI video isn’t the future. It’s already here. And it’s making creative marketing faster, cheaper and more cinematic than ever before.

At Brand IQ, we’ve been experimenting, testing, and pushing the limits of what these tools can do. One of our recent projects was for AMI. We wanted to bring their key brand elements to life in a bold, visual way. So, we created a video using AI tools like Midjourney to generate images and Suno to compose an original track called Diamonds.

The result is a visual world that would have cost a small fortune with traditional production or CGI. Instead, we produced it at a fraction of the cost and time.

AI video tools are making this kind of storytelling accessible to more brands, not just those with agency-level budgets.

Here’s a quick overview of what some of the leading platforms offer:

  • HeyGen: Create ultra-realistic avatars and multilingual video presenters

  • Veo 3: Bring characters to life with facial expressions and scripted dialogue

  • Runway: Ideal for crafting cinematic scenes and dreamlike visual effects

  • Kling: Great for generating short, surreal motion clips from simple prompts

  • Pika: Offers stylised video generation that’s perfect for creative social content

  • Synthesia: Produce fast-turnaround training and explainer videos

These tools are already being used for:

  • Social media content: Create scroll-stopping visuals in minutes

  • Internal training: Turn dense content into digestible, engaging videos

  • Conference videos: Add emotion, impact and storytelling to keynote intros

  • Pitch decks and sales tools: Bring static slides to life with visual energy

  • Creative brand campaigns: Build worlds that blend realism and imagination

While AI video still has limits around perfect realism, it’s improving fast. And what it lacks in photorealism, it more than makes up for in creativity and cost-efficiency. Compared to traditional production, you can save up to 80 percent on both time and budget.

And here’s the part that excites me most. Even though the tech isn’t perfect yet, I genuinely believe that within two years we’ll be able to generate movie-quality footage – edited, scored and sequenced – using nothing more than a few well-written text prompts.

We’re not replacing human creativity. We’re extending it.
