7-Eleven launches new mobil fuel range with high-octane campaign
7-Eleven has rolled out a new range of Mobil fuels across its stores in Australia, promising to enhance engine performance. The launch is accompanied by a high-energy campaign created by creative agency CHEP Network, featuring a video directed by Jeff Low from Revolver Films.
The new Mobil fuels have been reformulated with a technology designed to improve engine performance. The fuel range is now available at over 600 7-Eleven stores across the country.
The integrated campaign includes a rollout that extends across home media, audio, digital, in-store POS, CRM, talent partnerships through social media, and a 60-second version to be released through 7-Eleven’s owned channels. The campaign features a never-ending car chase where the hero and villain have been driving for so long, they can only be sure of one thing (maybe).
“With Mobil’s best ever fuel formulation, 7-Eleven customers can fill up with the confidence we are helping their engines go further,” said Adam Jacka, Head of Brand, Marketing & Loyalty at 7-Eleven Australia.
The campaign was created in partnership with media agency, PHD Media. It aims to differentiate 7-Eleven’s offering in a market where product parity is common and differentiation is challenging.
“In a world of parity products with little differentiation, this is a genuinely unique, powerful benefit for customers, and we challenged ourselves from a marketing perspective to push the boundaries in how we bring this to life,” Jacka added.
The creative approach to the campaign was driven by the desire to communicate the benefits of the new fuel range in an entertaining way.
“The ability to drive further on one tank was such a simple place to start. We looked for a way to tell Australia about it in the most entertaining way we could,” said Tian Murphy, Executive Creative Director at CHEP Network.
