National Australia Bank CMO Suzana Ristevski to lead Google’s A/NZ marketing team
National Australia Bank CMO, Suzana Ristevki, is exiting the bank after a seven-year tenure and joining Google to lead its marketing efforts across A/NZ.
Ristevski will be leading Google’s marketing efforts across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), replacing Aisling Finch who left the tech giant last year after a 13-year tenure. In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Google VP of marketing for Asia-Pacific, Simon Kahn, couldn’t but express his delight, saying he was thrilled to announce that after a comprehensive search, Ristevski was the new marketing chief locally.
“Suzana will join us in June and brings over 30 years of cross-industry experience in financial services, telecommunications, private health insurance, and industrial sectors,” Kahn stated. “Her proven track record in driving sustainable growth through strategic marketing, coupled with her deep understanding of the market and reputation as an innovative change-maker will no doubt be invaluable in elevating our marketing efforts. I am excited for Suzana to leverage her expertise and extensive experience to propel our passionate Google AUNZ Marketing team to even greater heights.”
In the interim, Julia Davis, who heads Google’s A/NZ devices and services marketing team, has been managing the role.
Ristevski, who is set to join Google in June, brings with her over 30 years of cross-industry experience in financial services, telecommunications, private health insurance, and industrial sectors. Prior to her seven years with NAB, she spent over 10 years at GE, holding various marketing roles across GE Money, GE Capital and the broader group.
Ristevski also shared her sentiments on LinkedIn, saying she was “sad to be leaving an incredible team at NAB but very excited to be joining another incredible team at Google.”
Mi3 understands NAB will do both an internal and external search to find a new marketing chief replacement.
