Leggo’s brings ‘Something Saucy’ to Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

Leggo’s is set to make its debut at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) in 2025, with the Australian pasta sauce brand partnering with Super Norma, a pasta bar located in Carlton, for a one-day event titled ‘Something Saucy’.

The event is scheduled for March 25th, 2025, and will run from 11am to 2pm at Whitehart Bar in Melbourne. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary servings of Pasta Alla Norma, a dish prepared by Super Norma’s founders, Marco Salzano and Luca Muscato. The pasta will be made using Leggo’s Gourmet Passata, a product crafted from 100% Australian-grown tomatoes.

Super Norma, known for its Napoli-inspired cuisine, brings a blend of traditional Italian heritage with a modern twist. This aligns with Leggo’s aim to showcase its Italian culinary expertise.

Senior Director of Marketing APAC, Katie Saunders, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to showcase how we do Italian at Leggo’s, and partnering with Super Norma who bring real Italian heritage to the table, but with a modern twist, is exactly the right step for us.”

In addition to the pasta offerings, Leggo’s will distribute free jars of its Gourmet Passata to event-goers. This initiative highlights the brand’s commitment to supporting the regional community around Echuca, where its tomatoes are cultivated.

“We’re proud to grow all of our tomatoes in Australia, particularly supporting the regional community around Echuca, and know that our Leggo’s Gourmet Passata is restaurant-quality and full of flavour,” said Saunders.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has long been a highlight on the culinary calendar, attracting food enthusiasts from across the state and beyond.

“The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has cemented its place on any foodie’s calendar and the focus on showcasing local produce and the best of the state’s culinary delights aligns perfectly with Leggo’s,” said Saunders.
