Endeavour Group hires ex-Qantas exec as first customer chief, Supercheap Auto MD to lead Dan Murphy’s in executive restructure

Endeavour Group has recruited former Qantas Chief Customer and Digital Officer Catriona Larritt as its new Chief Customer Officer and Supercheap Auto MD Benjamin Ward as the new MD of Dan Murphy’s as part of sweeping changes to its Executive Leadership Team.

Benjamin Ward has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Dan Murphy’s, with his tenure commencing on 27 January 2026. Ward brings over 25 years of retail leadership experience to the role, having previously served as Managing Director of Supercheap Auto at Super Retail Group. He replaces Agi Pfeiffer-Smith, who has been with Endeavour Group for five years. She’s held roles as Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of Dan Murphy’s during her tenure.

In addition to Ward’s appointment, Catriona Larritt (pictured) has been named to the newly created position of Chief Customer Officer. Larritt joins Endeavour Group from Qantas, where she held the position of Chief Customer and Digital Officer. Larritt was with the airline for over a decade and held a variety of roles and original came from Boston Consulting Group.

As a result of her departure, Qantas CEO, Vanessa Hudson, readjusted several of the responsibilities of the customer and technology role, putting corporate affairs chief Danielle Keighery in charge of brand and marketing, with chief marketing officer Petra Perry and team reporting into her. In addition, chief risk officer Andrew Monaghan assumed responsibility for cyber security.

Endeavour Group also confirmed Brendan Sweeney is set to join as Chief Digital and Data Officer, with his appointment effective from 19 January 2026. His appointment follows the departure of current digital and data chief, Claire Smith. Sweeney was previously Managing Director at Catch and has experience with Cotton On and Coles.

Jill Henderson has been appointed as Chief Legal Officer, effective 24 November. Henderson takes over from Peter Atkin and joins from BHP Limited, where she consulted on legal and people matters.

Endeavour Group Interim CEO Kate Beattie commented on the leadership changes and the ongoing strategy refresh.

“Our strategy refresh is progressing well and is reinforcing our confidence in the underlying strength of the business and our brands. We are excited about the opportunities ahead, and to drive the execution of the strategy in the new year we are pleased to welcome these experienced executive leaders to the Endeavour Group team,” said Beattie.

Beattie also expressed gratitude towards the outgoing executives. “On behalf of the Board and management, I would like to thank Agi, Claire and Peter for their significant contributions to Endeavour Group and wish them all the best for the future,” she stated.
