AMI Launches AMI Marketing Expert Program
The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) recently announced the launch of their AMI Marketing Expert Program, in partnership with Deakin University. Using Deakin’s Professional Practice credentials for the assessment of marketing capability, the AMI Marketing Expert Program certification will establish a recognised industry proficiency and a new way for marketing professionals to have their expertise recognised.
The AMI Marketing Expert Program is available in five key areas: data-driven marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, creative marketing and customer experience. Marketing Expert Program accreditation will support Australian marketers, from those early in their career to established leaders, to be benchmarked against international qualifications and industry standards.
The AMI’s Chief Executive Lee Tonitto, said, “Marketing as a discipline is multi-faceted and rapidly-evolving. The sector is filled with many talented individuals who possess the critical thinking, creative ability and soft skills required to thrive – but in a crowded market, differing yourself from the competition is a challenge.”
“In an ongoing effort to enhance the careers of Australian marketers, the AMI is delighted to launch the AMI Marketing Expert Program – a nationally recognised certification of marketing skills. The AMI Marketing Expert Program will support marketers in proving their capabilities and enable them to enjoy the most exciting career opportunities available in Australia’s dynamic marketing industry.”
Adrian Rau, Acting CEO of DeakinCo., a division of Deakin University, commented, “Deakin is excited to be working with AMI to recognise the skills of marketers in Australia. The marketing industry is experiencing rapid change and doesn’t necessarily have access to qualifications that reflect current or desired marketing capability. The AMI Marketing Expert Program offers marketing professionals a nationally recognised certification that provides recognition of skills that are important for individuals and businesses who wish to secure their future success and also a pathway for further development.”
The AMI is the preeminent professional association for marketers in Australia, offering cutting-edge education to fuel progress in the careers of professional marketers. The introduction of Professional Practice credentials to the AMI Marketing Expert Program will offer a critical bridge to both businesses and individuals in helping determine what skills are required now and into the future.
Co-Founder and Strategy Director at Yoghurt Digital, Michael Laps, noted, “Marketing is the sustenance that companies of all shapes and sizes rely on not just to survive, but to thrive. It is one of the deciding factors behind a company’s growth trajectory. The AMI Marketing Expert Program is a fantastic initiative that will help businesses identify and work with Australia’s best marketers to ensure they can continue pushing their boundaries and reach their full potential, while also providing Australia’s marketing community with another avenue for recognition for their expertise and ability to continuously drive performance.
