AMIANZMAC Grants 24-25: 48 Submissions Received

As part of our mission at the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) to advance the marketing profession, we support impactful research through initiatives like the AMIANZMAC Grants Programme. This year, we received 48 submissions from 22 institutions across Australia and New Zealand, covering a diverse array of topics. While we would love to fund all submissions, our resources allow us to support five outstanding projects that reflect our commitment to innovation and industry relevance.

The projects selected for funding this year are:

  • “The Real-World Impact of Brand Disinformation”
Griffith University – This project investigates how misinformation affects brand reputation and consumer trust.
  • “Fast Track the Transition to Plant-Based Meat: A Neuroscience Approach to Delineate Effective Communication Tactics”
Curtin University – Using neuroscience, this research explores communication tactics that could accelerate the shift to plant-based diets.
  • “Enhancing the Predictive Utility of Positioning Maps: An Open-Sourced, Evidence-Based Approach for Strategic Decision Making in Marketing”
Deakin University – Focused on strategic decision-making, this project aims to develop open-source tools to improve positioning accuracy.
  • “Price Promotion Model for Every Day Low Pricing (EDLP) Retailers”
Monash University – This study examines pricing strategies to optimize promotional effectiveness for EDLP retailers.
  • “Bridging the Academic-Practitioner Gap in Marketing: An Investigation of the Relevance and Drivers of Academic Marketing Knowledge Usage in Managerial Decision-Making”
Macquarie University – This project delves into how academic marketing insights can be practically applied in business decision-making.

AMI is proud to support these projects as they contribute valuable insights to both academia and the broader marketing community.

Our commitment to academic excellence goes beyond research funding. AMI works with universities across Australia to provide industry accreditation for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, ensuring students receive an education recognized not only for academic quality but also for its industry relevance. If your program is not yet accredited, connect with our team at [Demetri Hughes’ email] to discuss the benefits of AMI accreditation, which includes free student memberships, access to AMI resources, and an accelerated pathway to Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) status.

Stay tuned as we follow these impactful projects and share insights that will help shape the future of marketing.
