Boomtown’s Leanne Glamuzina to take reins as head of marketing at oOh!media

oOh!media has poached Boomtown marketing lead Leanne Glamuzina to become its new head of marketing, effective end of January 2025.

Glamuzina, who previously held the position of marketing lead at Boomtown, has a rich background in senior marketing roles, including stints at Koala and as group marketing director at Nova Entertainment. Her appointment comes ahead of the launch of MOVE 2.0, a platform that will include measurement of all regional Out of Home.

“Leanne brings a great perspective on Out of Home from the client side buying media during her time at Koala, as well as broad media marketing expertise from many years at Nova Entertainment and her most recent role in elevating regional media at Boomtown,” Neil Ackland, Chief Content, Marketing and Creative Officer at oOh!media, said.

“She joins oOh! ahead of the launch of MOVE 2.0, which for the first time will include measurement of all regional Out of Home, and her understanding and media insights will be invaluable. I look forward to welcoming Leanne to the oOh! team when she starts in February.“

The search for this role began in September, following Claire Woods’ announcement that she would be stepping down after more than six years.

“Claire has been a trusted and valued colleague, and a driving force behind key marketing initiatives, including the launch of Outfronts. Her contributions have been immense, and she will be greatly missed. I wish her all the very best in her future endeavours,” Ackland said.

Glamuzina will leave her role at Boomtown on January 31. The company is currently recruiting for a replacement marketing lead.

“This decision has been a difficult one, as my time here has been full of growth, learning, and incredible experiences,” Glamuzina said in a LinkedIn post.

“I have been fortunate to work with an amazing team with Brian Gallagher, Madeleine Gregorio and Nikki Clarkson, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to contribute and collaborate with incredibly talented people and media businesses.”

Gallagher thanked Glamuzina for her efforts at Boomtown. “Leanne has made a big impact at Boomtown, and her drive, energy and passion will be missed. The Boomtown collective wishes Leanne all the best in her new role. We are recruiting for her replacement now and an announcement will be made in the new year,” he said.
