Corona tops Kantar BrandZ global beer brand rankings for second year running

Corona has been named the world’s most valuable beer brand for the second consecutive year, according to the Kantar BrandZ 2025 Most Valuable Global Brands report. The report marks its 20th anniversary in 2025.

AB InBev, the parent company of Corona, has a strong presence in the global beer market, with eight of its brands featuring in the top ten most valuable beer brands worldwide. The company, which is publicly traded on multiple stock exchanges including Euronext, Mexico, South Africa, and the NYSE, achieved all-time high revenue and a 15% increase in Underlying EPS growth in 2024.

CEO of Kantar, Chris Jansen, said: “With the right level of investment and strategic focus, brands have huge potential to drive growth for their owners. Anheuser-Busch InBev is a perfect example of this in action – through Corona and their other brands, they have mastered the ability to cut through in the face of changing consumer behaviour. Congratulations to all their teams.”

Corona, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2025, has experienced significant growth outside of its home market of Mexico. The brand saw double-digit growth internationally and triple-digit growth for its no-alcohol variant, Corona Cero, in 2024. Notably, Corona Cero became the first beer brand to sponsor the Olympic Games, making its debut at the Paris 2024 event.

Global Chief Marketing Officer at AB InBev, Marcel Marcondes, said: “For Corona to be recognized as the most valuable beer brand in the world in the same year the brand is celebrating its 100-year anniversary shows the power of building brands for the long-term. And as the fastest growing beer brand in the U.S.*, Michelob ULTRA was recognized with the Kantar Brand Growth Award.”

Budweiser, another AB InBev brand, ranks as the second most valuable beer brand globally, following Corona. Michelob ULTRA, which moved up to the fifth position among the most valuable beer brands, won the Kantar Brand Growth Award in the U.S. for the greatest year-over-year increase in brand value.
