End of Year Message from Bronwyn Heys, CEO of the Australian Marketing Institute
Dear AMI Members,
As we approach the close of 2024, it is a perfect time to reflect on the achievements of the past year and look forward to an exciting future for the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). Together, we have accomplished so much, and I want to thank each of you for being an integral part of our journey.
This year has been pivotal for AMI, with remarkable strides in our mission to support career growth and ignite brilliance within the marketing profession. Here are just a few highlights of what we have achieved together in 2024:
– Launch of the AMI Competency Framework: This comprehensive guide is now a cornerstone of our member value proposition, supporting marketers at every stage of their career. In 2025 watch out for our NEW Online Assessment tool.
– Enhanced Engagement: We welcomed 67 new corporate members and strengthened partnerships across the industry, ensuring AMI remains at the forefront of evolving marketing competencies.
– Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) Growth: Our CPM program saw increased uptake, reflecting the value of professional certification within our community.
– Expanded Training Opportunities: From rejuvenated masterclasses to our Emerging Marketers Program, we catered to marketers at all levels, fostering learning and mentorship.
– Celebration of Excellence: The 2024 Marketing Excellence Awards Gala was a standout event, recognising the very best in our field and celebrating the individuals behind the achievements. We also ran events across all states of Australia building our marketing community.
– Modernisation of Brand: With a refreshed brand assets, upgraded website, and engaging member communications, AMI has strengthened its presence across platforms. Our media coverage and thought leadership reached new heights, amplifying the voice of Australian marketers.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our hardworking AMI team, state volunteer committees, sponsors, and most importantly, you—our members. You are the heart of this organisation, and your continued engagement inspires everything we do.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be just as dynamic and rewarding. Here’s what’s on the horizon:
– Launch of the Online Competency Assessment Tool: A world-class platform to help members stay ahead in their careers.
– Broadened Professional Development: More curated training opportunities, new partnerships, and expanded access to cutting-edge resources including more for senior marketers to continuing with lifelong learing.
– Growing Corporate and Individual Memberships: Strengthening our community and delivering value that supports your professional success.
As we embrace the opportunities ahead, I am confident that AMI will continue to lead the way in supporting marketers to thrive in an ever-changing industry. Thank you for your trust and commitment to the AMI community.
