Member Spotlight: Jenny Brown
Jenny is the National Marketing Manager at Hunter Douglas, the company behind the iconic market leader Luxaflex Window Fashions brand. She is a senior business leader with over 20 years experience across B2C and B2B covering manufacturing, wholesale and retail channels. Working across all facets of marketing she has a proven track record for delivering high calibre business outcomes through her strategic planning and implementation in conjunction with her talented marketing team.
One of these strategies was to lead the industry in digital marketing to drive leads and sales for the national Luxaflex dealer network. Hunter Douglas Australia sells Window Fashions products (including blinds, shutters and awnings) wholesale to a national network of approximately 150 dealers, who on-sell to consumers, using the Luxaflex® Window Fashions brand. As such, they are one step removed from the consumer’s purchasing journey.
“Ultimately I wanted to grow profitable sales through better control of the brand communication at every touch point of the customers buying journey. This meant closing the loop to track the buying journey, from the point of initial enquiry on the Luxaflex website or in store, through the purchase decision making process, to the purchase itself and finally to after-purchase experience including capturing ratings and testimonials from satisfied customers, and then leverage the positive reviews to generate more new business.”
Jenny lead the strategy and implementation utilising a range of technologies to build a complete marketing ecosystem which provides a single, integrated view of our national consumer base, over the complete customer lifecycle from initial interest through to purchase and post-purchase. This allowed Luxaflex to automate powerful, targeted email marketing (using Oracles Eloqua Marketing Automation System), relevant to each stage of the customer journey. In particular, she developed and implemented an innovative solution for harnessing and sharing customer testimonials by integrating Trustpilot’s product review service with Eloqua’s Marketing Automation platform, which in turn serves as a valuable tool for attracting new customers to Luxaflex Window Fashions.
