Moose Toys chief marketer Belinda Gruebner exits after 10 years

The chief marketing officer of fast-growing Moose Toys, Belinda Gruebner, has departed after a decade-long tenure with the Australian-owned toy brand.

Gruebner first joined the business as EVP global marketing in 2015, later stepping up into the CMO role in 2021. Prior to joining Moose Toys, she held senior marketing roles at Officeworks and ToysRUs.

Gruebner confirmed her exit in a post shared to LinkedIn on Friday. “After 10 INCREDIBLE years of amazing people, purpose-driven work, and global growth, the time has come to farewell the world of toys, an industry that’s been pivotal to my professional and personal growth,” she wrote.

“Grateful. Energised. Ready to learn, lead, and make a positive impact. I’m currently exploring new sectors and connecting with brands and teams where I can contribute next.

“I joined Moose in 2015, during a pivotal time of growth for this extraordinary, family-owned Australian company. With a bold ambition to disrupt the toy industry, we set out to accelerate our global presence and become known for creating trends and driving innovation. I’m proud to have played a part in helping Moose achieve exactly that, and so much more.”

Under Gruebner’s leadership, Moose Toys scaled its global marketing team from 8 to more than 90 specialists across multiple regions.

Some of the other key milestones achieved during her tenure included the launch of the Shopkins collectibles and collaborations with Bluey and Mr Beast. Gruebner also drove the evolution of the Moose master brand platform “from function to purpose-led” under the “making Children SuperHappy” positioning, and founded the Moose Happy Kids Foundation.

“To every Moosie I’ve had the joy of working with …. thank you!! Your passion, creativity and collaboration have made this chapter one I’ll always cherish. I leave richer in experience and friendship,” she said.

Commenting on Gruebner’s exit, Global President of Moose Toys, Ronnie Frankowski, said: “A huge thank you to Belinda from all of us at Moose for an incredible 10 years.
