Sarah Ryan takes the helm as head of marketing for Max Brenner Australia

Sarah Ryan has been appointed as the new Head of Marketing for Max Brenner Australia.

Prior to joining Max Brenner, Ryan served as CMO for Loretto Normanhurst for three years. She also brings over six years of experience from Campbell Arnott’s, where she held senior insights and marketing roles across snacks and savoury product lines. Ryan also spent five-and-a-half years at Unilever, contributing to brands such as Lipton Iced tea, Rexona, Dove, and savoury spreads.

In her new role at Max Brenner, Ryan will be the Head of Marketing and Innovation, reporting to the General Manager for Max Brenner ANZ.

Ryan said she was attracted to the role at Max Brenner due to her extensive experience in food and beverage marketing and the opportunity to work on a brand that brings joy to customers through chocolate dessert experiences.

“I have many years of experience in food and beverage marketing, and wanted a role that thrust me back into this space again. I was drawn to the opportunity to work on a brand that brings joy to customers every day through decadent chocolate dessert experiences. The Max Brenner brand has a lot of potential. It has strong brand awareness and positive brand associations, and I am excited by the opportunity to lead its rejuvenation,” Ryan said.

Ryan’s initial priority will be putting in place the plans and resources needed to rejuvenate the Max Brenner brand.

“Most of my experience has been in food and beverage and will be relevant for this role. My work at Arnotts, working on snacking and as Director of Snacking Innovation will be very relevant as understanding what customers’ expectations are for Indulgent snacking occasions will be important for Max Brenner,” she added.
