TAL promotes Alexis Denby to lead new Growth and Consumer team

Life Insurance brand TAL has appointed Alexis Denby to head up its newly formed growth and consumer team as general manager of consumer and growth, report directly to Gavin Teichner, the newly joined chief executive – Individual Life.

Denby step up into the new role from her previous remit as TAL’s general manager of sales and marketing, where managed customer acquisition and retention across multiple TAL brands and distribution channels.

“Lexie’s appointment reflects TAL’s continued focus on meeting the evolving protection needs of Australians. Lexie’s leadership and expertise have been critical in positioning TAL as a market leader in the insurance industry. Lexie and her team are truly focused on what Australians want and need from us as an insurer, and are working to develop even clearer, more targeted products and services for our direct and retail customers,” said Teichner.

Denby has over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, including a stint as general manager at International Life Solutions, an affiliated South African business, from May 2018 to October 2019, where she focused on operational excellence, country integration, and global strategy.

Denby first joined TAL from GE Capital, where she played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s digital customer experience. She began her career at Telstra, holding several Sales and Marketing roles, including Outbound Telemarketing and Sales Force Effectiveness.

In her new role, Denby’s responsibilities will involve leading TAL’s direct and advised customer growth initiatives, ensuring that the company’s products and services remain relevant, valued, and accessible to a wider Australian audience.
